Modern Academy is an English Medium school established in 2013, imparting value-based education to children and preparing them fully for higher education. We follow the syllabus of the C.I.S.C.E. Board, New Delhi.

Hair Policy: Hairstyles must be appropriate. Long hair must be tied with blue ribbons. Use of hair dye or mehendi is strictly prohibited and may result in suspension. Students are not permitted to wear bangles, rings, earrings, or any other ornaments — these will be confiscated by school authorities.

Rules & Regulations

All students and parents are required to follow these rules for the smooth functioning of Modern Academy.

School Diary Rules
  • Students must carry the school diary every day. Students without a diary will not be allowed to attend classes.
  • Parents must sign the diary daily after reviewing homework and any complaints recorded.
  • A student may be punished if the diary is not signed by the parent.
  • No complaints column entries should go unaddressed. Five or more complaints may lead to severe action.
  • Parents must apply to the Class Teacher in writing to obtain a new diary.
Attendance Rules
  • Attendance below 75% will result in the student not being considered for promotion.
  • Absence for more than 14 days without prior sanction may result in name being struck off school rolls.
  • All students must attend school on the reopening day after every vacation.
  • Leave applications for emergencies must be submitted at least 3 days in advance.
  • Bunking school or classes may result in suspension.
Examination Rules
  • No borrowing of stationery is allowed during examinations.
  • Talking during exams or writing on question papers may result in disciplinary action.
  • Possession of printed materials or chit paper during exams will result in cancellation of all papers.
  • Promotion is based on whole-year performance, not solely on one examination.
  • Results once declared are final. Any student who repeats the same class two successive years must withdraw.
Disciplinary Norms
  • No mobile phones allowed during examinations. Phones found will be confiscated and papers cancelled.
  • Mobile phones found during class hours will be confiscated for an indefinite period.
  • Writing on school walls, notice boards or blackboards is prohibited and will result in punishment or fines.
  • Students must respect school property. Vandalism or theft will result in disciplinary action.
  • No CDs or printed literature (apart from textbooks) are allowed in school.
Parent Guidelines
  • Parents visiting school must be formally dressed. Shorts or Bermudas are not permitted on campus.
  • Use of cell phones by parents within school premises is strictly prohibited.
  • Parents may meet teachers only with a prior appointment and permission from the Principal/In-charge.
  • Visitors must fill out a form at the enquiry office specifying the purpose of the visit.
  • All parent-teacher communications must be in writing — not through the school diary.
Language Policy
  • Speaking English within school premises is mandatory for all students.
  • Strict disciplinary action including fines may be taken against students speaking other languages within the school.
  • This policy is in place for the benefit of students to improve their spoken English vocabulary.
  • Report cards are handed only to the father or mother — not to brothers, sisters or cousins.

Fee Payment Guidelines

Please follow these guidelines to ensure smooth and timely payment of school fees.

Payment Schedule
  • Fees must be paid by the 15th of each month.
  • Fees paid after the 15th will attract a fine of Rs. 20/- for that month.
  • No fees will be accepted from the 1st to 4th of each month.
  • Fees are accepted Monday to Friday, 10:30 AM – 1:30 PM.
  • Session charges, first two months' tuition, development and computer fees are paid at the beginning of the session.
Non-Payment Consequences
  • Fees not paid for 3 consecutive months will result in the child's name being struck off the school register without prior notice.
  • Re-admission, if granted, will require one month's fee as re-admission fee plus all arrears.
  • Fees for vacation periods and annual examinations must be paid one month in advance.
  • Failure to pay before examinations will result in the child not being allowed to sit for the exam.
Fee Book Rules
  • Parents/guardians must fill in all fee book details: Name, Class, Section, Roll No.
  • Tender the exact amount at the fee counter to avoid delays.
  • A fine of Rs. 20/- will be charged for a duplicate fee book if the original is lost or damaged.
  • Observe discipline in the queue at the deposit counter during the scheduled deposit time.

Promotion Policy: Promotion is decided based on whole-year performance and not solely on marks in any one examination. Report cards are handed only to the father or mother — not to brothers, sisters or cousins. A letter of authorisation is required if parents are out of town.
